This is the first blog and this is going to become a weekly deal where projects from the past week will be looked at and given some information on the process and all other cool things involved.
This week we will go over a detail and a window tint that was performed.
For the detail we had a newer chevy suburban in for a Premium in and out detail.
first step was to get everything washed and decontaminated to get ready for silica wax to adhere to the paint for protection (pictured is iron bath and foam wash)
wheel and tires are fully cleaned and properly conditioned for a nice clean look.
Even though the day was lacking full sun shine this Suburban boasted lots of gloss and is now protected for months to come.
Window tint highlight of the week came from a rare truck which had window film on it from when it was new in 2003. This film was far past its prime time and started to separate from the adhesive in spots and also faded a good bit.
this shows how the film started to separate from the adhesive leaving a wavy distorted look
Once peeling the film back the adhesive left behind was very hard to remove and required several different methods to remove properly
now that everything was prepped properly and the new patterns were cut out, it was time to start applying the new tint
This 2003 Ford F-150 Supercharged Boss 5.4 liter is now been transformed to a nice clean look again sporting new window film
